How it works
The process of laser hair removal uses concentreated light to inhibit the growth of body hair. The light pulse targets the melanin (colour) in the hair, not the skin. The light pulse travels to the root of the hair where it damages the follicle and prevents future growth. At Expert Cosmetic Solutions we use CANDELA with wavelenghts of 755nm and 1064nm making it completely safe and suitable for all skin tones and types.
You need an initial course of 8-12 sessions of laser hair removal to gain a average of 85% reduction in the area. Laser appointments start off every 4 weeks for the face and every 4-6 weeks for the body then as your treatments progress we start to book them further apart which then follows with the maintenance phase of laser. Once you finish the initial course of treatments we recommend coming back for maintenance once every 3-6months for the face and once every 6-12months for the body. Maintenance will help to maintain the reduction you have achieved while treating the remaining 15% of growth left behind.

For treatment of facial areas, Expert Cosmetic Solutions offers for purchase a customised post-laser facial pack, containing soothing gel, tyrosinase inhibitor (minimizes the risk of pigment forming) and SPF, selected to suit your individual skin type.
Avoid exercise or any activity causing perspiration for at least 24 hours.
Redness is common for a couple of hours to a couple of days following treatment. The redness is a natural response, and usually disappears within a few hours. In some cases, it can last longer, but it is unlikely to last more than 2-3 days.
Until redness has completely subsided, avoid performing activities that that cause excessive perspiration in the treated area.
